Reach Out!

Have you ever been at a place in your life, where it seemed everything was going wrong? You realized you were headed on the wrong road! All of a sudden, before you knew it, you had slipped off the road, into a pit.

There has been a time in my life...where it felt like I was in a pit. A sandpit, of quicksand! In the middle of a pit, bound by the struggles of life. I found myself in quicksand, and whatever attempts I made to get out, the deeper I would sink.

I felt immobilized, no matter which move I made in life, things weren't getting any better. I'd try to keep my life from being out of control, yet things would only get worse. Have you ever felt this way?

So at this point in my life, I did get this word picture. The only way out, was to reach up to God. Nothing within my power or strength was helping. Yet if I could reach my arms up, and out of that pit, I might be able to get some help! So I did, I reached up, in prayer, and something happened.

It almost seemed miraculous at the time. It was as if God's strong hand reached down from the heavens, and pulled me out of the circumstances! I was so grateful, so appreciative to be pulled out of this pit of despair. He placed my walk on solid ground, and directed not only my path, but my steps:)

This song came upon my heart, singing words of praise! I didn't even know all the words, just the chorus. I was amazed when I read the words.....how healing this song was to my soul.

Songs of life, really bring such healing to my soul. I don't know about you, but without music, we would totally be lost! Music can bring out feelings, at times we don't even know are within us:)

There have been struggles and trials in my life, and music helps to lift my heart! Having your heart feel light, to be released from the burdens of care. This is an awesome experience! Not only to be free to love, but free to accept love and forgiveness from others.

For me this has been a life long journey, to get over the hurts others have caused. To learn not to accept or take on the offenses of others. Then to see the times in my life, I had also caused hurts and pain to others, not even realizing it. Some say hurting people hurt. It is really nice to get to a point where you don't hurt anymore!

I just want to encourage you, if you are in the quick-sand, to reach out in prayer, to the one who can help!
